Brand Identity & Packaging Design
The project consisted in examining, contextual, and conceptual prototyping for point of purchase display. The idea behind this project was to create a packaging design to be as eco-friendly as possible, yet it had to to protect the product, and set it self apart for point of purchase. My solution was simple–by using no plastics, recycled materials, and water base inks that are friendly to the environment. The form of the packaging was what inspired the logo, and an element used through out the brand identity.

BFA Group Exhibition Design
The purpose of the exhibition is to give a behind the scenes look at the process of a graphic design student at San Jose State University. Our goal is to expose the viewer to a side of design rarely seen and hardly understood. We want the viewer walk the same path as the students in their researching, developing, and creating process, and hopefully walk away with a greater understanding of the graphic design process.

Typeface Design & Book Design
The Pakal typeface was inspired by the great ancient Mayan civilization that lived in the southern region of Mexico and all through Central America. The typeface was given the name Pakal after the great ruler of Palenque. Pakal expanded Palenque’s power in the western part of the Mayan states and initiated a building program at his capital that produced some of Maya civilization’s finest art and architecture. Therefor, being a well suited name for a typeface.
Architect Book Design
For this architect inspired book design, I was fascinated by I.M. Pei’s modernist approach to architecture. His designs were extremely geometric and used grid like triangular forms. Therefore, in my concept for this book have incorporated triangular forms and sharp angles in my book design.
Exhibition Design & Document Book
This concept exhibition was inspired by Joaquin Murrieta. He was also known as “El Patrio” or “the Robin Hood of El Dorado.” Murrieta was a famous figure in California during the invasion and conquest of what was once called Alta California that belonged to Mexico–right before the Gold Rush of the 1850’s.
